Materials can no longer be assigned to colors.  They can be assigned to layers, objects, and ACA components. More information is here.
I have Arten a4d and this program does not create 3d layers divided how can I do?
for windows for example creates a single layer 3d
Drag material from the materials dialog onto the objects themselves. Should be prompted for assign by layer or object. You may be forced to work by object.

I'm not really familiar with this product-- I believe they may have incorporated past versions of AccuRender.

nXt materials are just AutoCAD materials with some additional data.  If arten a4d allows you to assign AutoCAD materials to components then you should be able to do it the same way.

doing it this way to the window, for example having a single layer is assigned a unique material without distinction between glass and wood, etc..

Arten a4d is just a program for creation of 3D but not render, you have to use the AccuRender the Arten a4d creates 3d autocad blocks, the old AccuRender assigned directly to the colors of the materials such as wood blocks assigned the color brown etc. .. how can I fix it?

What about creating layers in AutoCAD drawing and moving coloured objects onto them (it should be quite easy with qselect command)? I think it's better than work with materials assigned to the objects.
It may not be easy to use this program with nXt (or AutoCAD render either.)  Send a small example illustrating the problem and I'll take a look at it-- for example a wall and window.  Use the upload link or attach a file.
ciao io uso arten

CAN WE GET PETER MILNER TO TRAIN SOME OF US FOR A TOKEN ?

Good day, forum members,I was thinking that we could each, if interested, contribute a significant token to give Peter Milner and David to train us virtually in nxt render for Autocad. Am not sure he still uses it but the experience he has spanning over 20 years cannot be underestimated. I wish the forum co-ordinators could look into this. So that more of us will produce realistic renders with the paid version of nxt render and we will be able to encourage other users of other more advanced…See More

3D_Replication final

I created this replication of one of Peter Milner's renders, not with AI but with sketchup (with the matchnewphoto tool), autocad and nxtrender.Critics and comments are welcome.
