AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Has anyone done any testing with either of these updates yet with NXT? I don't want any surprises, they always come at the worst times.

I have both now, if no one has looked at them yet I can install both here now and take a look later on.

Thanks

I actually haven't tested it yet.  Let me know when you get a chance.  I'm not anticipating any problems. You'll need to appload nXt the first time you run it in your new AutoCAD.

Does the nature of the "dwg" change in this release? As autodesk like to do, just to give to Roy an usefull (;o)) extra work, every two years!

I believe that this is the last of the tweak versions before next year when we get a full new version. I believe that AutoCad left the 2 yea cycle for a 3 year several versions ago.

If it is a truely new version then Roy will have a much more serious task. If its a tweak then it is unlikely that anything of significance has changed. I should have time by Monday to review the software & see if there are any red flags I can uncover.

Hopefully we can just load it and go with a few extra features; I'm not even sure what hose are yet, soon I'll let you know.

Thanks! Roy, are the changes, real improvements?
Haven't looked much yet.
This one is a minor update and shouldn't require anything.  Every three years is a new release for AutoDesk-- so R19 occurs in 2013.

I'm very sceptical about these every-year AutoCAD updates, but now it looks really good. I just lounched AC2012 for the first time today and I can see that splines can be JOINED together and with plines, EXTENDED and FILLETED at last! I hope I'll find much more improvements later.

It seems nXt works fine. dwg format is still '2010'.

Cool!!!

I'm testing MEP 2012.  nXt loads OK and dialogue work.  When I tried to Render my screen or Render from Walkabout, fatal error occurs.

Thanks-- I assume you had everything working in a previous version?
Yes.  In MEP 2011, it works fine.  A simple Building with doors and windows.  Pump and some piping.  I just downloaded the latest build.  Not sure if that will help...  Thanks Roy.
Let me know.  Are you using clipping planes?

CAN WE GET PETER MILNER TO TRAIN SOME OF US FOR A TOKEN ?

Good day, forum members,I was thinking that we could each, if interested, contribute a significant token to give Peter Milner and David to train us virtually in nxt render for Autocad. Am not sure he still uses it but the experience he has spanning over 20 years cannot be underestimated. I wish the forum co-ordinators could look into this. So that more of us will produce realistic renders with the paid version of nxt render and we will be able to encourage other users of other more advanced…See More
