AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Hello everyone,

I'm a long time Accurender user.  I have an essentially simple model that has a few objects that are blocks.  The objects are not rendering at all.  They only render when I explode the blocks.  does anyone have an idea what the issue may be?

Your help and cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Alex

Had the same thing happen just now to a bed, sink and toilet block all of which were old AR3-AR4 blocks taken from the Blocks and Materials CD's that shipped with AR3.

The bed would show up in the views but not render at all.

No matter what I checked or did the item was just not rendering - as if it was not there. Checked my layers, did an audit, purge etc...

Luckily I had just saved a working version of the same file so I was able to get back to a working set of furniture. From this I was able to make some comparisons.

1. The items appear to disappear if they have been set to layer 0 and inserted on layer 0 originally. If they are inserted while set to some other layer they do not appear to develop this vanishing ability.

2. I too am on AutoCAD 2008 so it might be a problem with older versions of AutoCAD.

3. These were copies of blocks that had been inserted. The original blocks continued to render - very much like the TREES that would vanish after the 4th or 5th copy, these blocks would do the same.

After I explode the blocks they work - I did notice that the Open GL image of the bed did change, that is the texture maps did update a bit after I had exploded the object so there was something going on as far as AR5 understood the object.

Unfortunately I believe I have totally fixed the problematic file so I no longer have a broken version to share. The next time it happens I will attempt to send a copy to Roy and gang.

Thanks-- the original issue seen by alexinfla was closed-- it related to trying to render ACA objects in non-ACA AutoCAD.  What you're experiencing is likely a different problem.

There is no "OpenGL image" anymore-- WalkAbout uses AutoCAD for its display.

CAN WE GET PETER MILNER TO TRAIN SOME OF US FOR A TOKEN ?

Good day, forum members,I was thinking that we could each, if interested, contribute a significant token to give Peter Milner and David to train us virtually in nxt render for Autocad. Am not sure he still uses it but the experience he has spanning over 20 years cannot be underestimated. I wish the forum co-ordinators could look into this. So that more of us will produce realistic renders with the paid version of nxt render and we will be able to encourage other users of other more advanced…See More
