AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

modelo no autocad á escala 1/1 ja tentei alterar parâmetros escala do desenho etc. e nada.

se alguém me conseguir ajudar agradeço.

desde já agradeço

Obrigado

Hola Pedro.

Best thing to do here is to send an example of a model which is crashing, along with simple instructions on how to reproduce.  Use this upload link.  Groundcover, in general, works fine.  It's possible you found a bug here.  I won't know until I can investigate further.

I changed the units to millimeters from meters.  This is important in nXt.  Use the _UNITS, _DDUNITS, or _INSUNITS commands to do this.

This is a large model (about 7 million faces), it won't work at all unless you're using the 64 bit version.  Here it is using the Path Tracer after about 20 minutes:

ola amigo Roy

The scale factor is the culprit again.  I checked the plant definition on Relva,ArGroundcover-- the leaves were 7000 mm wide!  I made them 70mm wide and placed it in another drawing.  Using the Path Tracer the rendering proceeded very quickly (I recommend the Path Tracer for exteriors with a lot of plants):

I'm attaching your groundcover definition as I edited it.  Your plants are very nice, BTW.  Let me know if you're interested in sharing any of these with other users (they also may need to be edited for scale issues-- not sure yet.)

I let your model render overnight (it didn't need that long but I often run tests here overnight):

BTW. Does anyone have any good examples of groundcovers for nXt? Or is it possible to convert the ones from AR4?

podes contar comigo :)

Thanks.  I wouldn't expect you to share everything-- but whatever you're willing to share you can upload to me using the Support->Upload a File option and I will post it to the community.  Accustudio, run by others, is also a good place for sharing content.

Just to be clear, the Path Tracer is often a little slower for exterior scenes, but becomes faster when a lot of plants or displacement maps are involved.  The Path Tracer can be much slower to resolve for interior scenes.  In either case the quality of the rendering is usually a little better using the Path Tracer.

Hi Roy, would it be not too hard to implement the possibility to use more than one subject in the grouncover? big and small grass, grass and flowers, different colors, etc... Mixed in one grouncover, or do we have to mix several groundcovers at the same place?

Is there an evolution of the plant generator in project ?

It's not a bad idea-- I'll consider it.  Right now you can fake it as you suggested-- you'll need to use separate objects for each groundcover (I think.)

This is a remake of one of Peter Milner's scenes. I dont have the file. I photo-matched it in sketchup and rendered in nxt render for autocad.I just retouched it and increased the resolution.
