AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Having trouble getting the desired effect on the attached church interior. Would like to have the cross on the wall lit up from behind. Maybe I'm not letting it run enough passes or the light(s) settings are incorrect? Thanks for your help...John

I suspect your light isn't bright enough-- you've got it set at 850 lumnes.  This is what I get when I boost Channel 7 to 5.0 (66 passes)-- let me know if you get the same thing.  105 passes is probably not enough to completely resolve this effect-- not with 79 total lights.

Same image with Channel 7 set to 10.0.
Thanks Roy. I do get the same effect when adjusting the channels in the nXt editor. Not quite the effect I was looking for...I'll look at other options - maybe more passes/density, just a spot light on the cross or post editing. Thanks again...John
Also might try smoothing out the wall material the cross is on to get less of a bumpy look...
What are you going for?

Something other than what I have so far...A focal point with some etherealness maybe. Thought the backlit idea would work, but needs some more time spent on it. Might need to change the material of the cross to something darker, wood maybe. Guess I'll know it when I see it. I'll keep you updated...Thanks - John

I think the simulation is probably working OK then-- if it's helping to inform the design...
Here's a prelim pano of the space...Still would like to find a free viewer that doesn't add logos. Smoothmove from older AR won't install on 64 bit.

Really nice work-- submit some images to the gallery when you have a chance.
I'm running the smoothmove pan viewer from AR3 on a 64 bit system. It will run fine. You take your .jpg and change the file extension to .pan start the pan viewer & it'll runs just like always. There was no need to do any 'install' for the viewer. Other funtions of smoothmoves suite may or may not work but I've been using the viewer here for years across multiple platforms and operating systems. I've never had to install on any of them to run the viewer. Just gat the .pan extension & the correct file association & it works.
Hola, podrias usar el Pano2QTVR. Es de distribucion gratuita y te ayuda a convertir la imagen para poder leerla con QuickTime, que tambien es gratuito

Jorge - Thanks. I had alrady installed the free trial version of Pano2VR but it adds logos. Pano2QTVR works great and doesn't add logos. Thanks!

Wayne - We ended up copying the SmoothMove Pan Viewer exe file from an older computer in the office to my current newer computer and it does indeed work. Thanks!
