I'am not sure in what order one should place the mappings of a texture material if you have a diffuse map, a bump map and a specularity map and a glossiness map. should i use for a glossiness map the specularity channel?
Should i switch of all channels of the bump map, and set the strength to zero and only enter a value for the bump level?
if i have a material with a specularity map, is it still necessary to do something with the reflective finish settings in the main settings?
what means fresnel?
lighting question:
what is the difference between the reflected and refracted channel in the background setings?
The easiest way might be to use the "Texture Set" material template instead of the Advanced template. If your texture sets come from a place like Arroway then the template may be able to recognize the various maps automatically.
Refracted background is seen through transparent objects.

Good day, forum members,I was thinking that we could each, if interested, contribute a significant token to give Peter Milner and David to train us virtually in nxt render for Autocad. Am not sure he still uses it but the experience he has spanning over 20 years cannot be underestimated. I wish the forum co-ordinators could look into this. So that more of us will produce realistic renders with the paid version of nxt render and we will be able to encourage other users of other more advanced…See More
