AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Ok I bought a new computer for my cad work and rendering to speed things up. In the process I upgraded to 310 version of nxt plugin. I normally use the path tracer for my work and set it to about 120 passes or so for my playground designs. Since I installed it I have sent work to my farm and things are going way too fast. When I go and take a look at the output, I was used to seeing strips of the finished product say like 100 pixels high by the full width that I would combine together in image editor. Now I am getting a full picture that when added just seems to wash out the picture. I went ahead and tried upgrading the farm to 315 and the plugin to 317 and still getting the same results. I even went out on a limb and am trying the studio version (which I must say looks good and is a lot closer to what I was after minus the render farm bulk rendering). Am I missing something here? I have been known to have some crazy moments but I didn't think I went completely off the deep end? :)

It depends which engine you're using.

If you're using the original Packet Tracer, engine 0, you will get strips which you need to "Add" together to make your final image.

If you're using either of the other two engines you'll get complete images which you need to "Combine" (one of the choices in the Image Editor) to produce the final.

There is some info on this here.

Well tried to switch back to path trace engine. Sent it to the farm and got three outputted images (full again not the strips)

That's correct.  Use the Combine option in the Image Editor.

Ahhhh thank you figured it out there. On the machine where the farm is stored I tend to run the image editor off it since it's local storage for the files. Problem is I hardly ever use it for actual autocad design work so the image editor was an older version and it didn't have the combine option. I went to the new machine and it has it. Thanks Roy I thought I was going crazy!

CAN WE GET PETER MILNER TO TRAIN SOME OF US FOR A TOKEN ?

Good day, forum members,I was thinking that we could each, if interested, contribute a significant token to give Peter Milner and David to train us virtually in nxt render for Autocad. Am not sure he still uses it but the experience he has spanning over 20 years cannot be underestimated. I wish the forum co-ordinators could look into this. So that more of us will produce realistic renders with the paid version of nxt render and we will be able to encourage other users of other more advanced…See More
