AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Odd question: I started a rendering then minimized ACAD. I can see that the rendering is processing by the tab at the bottom of the screen, but can only bring ACAD back up. The rendering window won't restore...maybe I'm not waiting long enough? I can highlight/depress the tab, but nothing happens. Any ideas? Thanks - John

Hmmm-- checking now.
Not sure how you managed this-- normally you can't minimize Acad without first minimizing the render window. Once you maximize acad, the render window should display. It may be hiding behind the WalkAbout window-- try using the taskbar to grab it.
I've had this happen often. Eventually, the render window would generally pop up. I assume the delay is determined by the size of the drawing, or render, and the speed of the processor. Maybe memory, but I'm running 12 Gb of ram, so. Your right, Roy I can't minimize the render window without minimizing the Acad window first. Happy day.

Thanks...Didn't actually wait for the rendering to start producing an image before reducing. I guess I should just end task and start over - would be done by now. Thanks - John
Screen shot attached...It's not the latest version of nXt...can't see what version right now. Screen shot of nXt directory attached as well if that helps. Using ACAD 2011. Thanks - John

I don't typically use the walkabout - just start the rendering directly from the acad screen...
I gave up. Waited for window to apperar. Right clicked render tab and selected close window. ACAD became available and I clicked to start a new rendering. Briefly saw the rendering that I was trying to access while the new rendering was starting to load, clicked pause - locked up. Ended task. Lesson learned. Thanks for the responses...John
From Image 1, right click on the rendering tab and select, 'restore or maximize' to bring up the ray tracing window.
Thanks Akinlolu. I tried that and it didn't work - may not have waited long enough for something to show up. I just ended up starting it over...the attached is the result, without any post editing.

This I must say is very good work. IMHO adding a bit of bump or even displacement work help the foreground lawn.
Something like this.

Thanks again Akinlolu, those will help...John
