AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Request for ideas to make the render look more photorealistic

I am looking for any and all ideas to help improve the quality of the render so far. What I have now I really like although it does take a long time to render across 2 machines to look this good (the grass added a lot since I went with displacement). Lighting is currently using hdri with the sun off because to me it gives it a softer look (I don't know if its more realistic or not but I like it). What I'm looking for from you guys who have used nXt a while is more ideas to mke this pop out and look like a photo so I can use it to sell. Sadly some of the models like the rock on the left hand side I am stuck with a lower quality model so there isn't a lot I can do to change that. Other than remodeling, what type of changes would you make if you could?

Thanks!

Posted the dwg up at my website

Turned on Exterior preset and turned off everything else.  I got rid of the custom backgrounds, got rid of the displacement mapped grass and made it a bump map (disp mapping is a total waste of time for this) and changed the resolution to 300k pixels (don't work in high resolution, you'll drive yourself nuts.  Only crank up the resolution when you're ready-- then go to bed.)  I did these with engine 4 since I'm testing it-- but any engine will do fine for this.  These are pretty sweet little renderings.

Here's the birds-eye.  I changed the sun to late afternoon for a little more drama.  Added a ground plane w/ grass which is obviously not correct but good enough for now.  All of these renderings take a couple of minutes at 300k, BTW.

I like but there are a few things that I don't know if it makes it look better or just personal likes. 1st from what I understand there is no way to add clouds to that sky background other than say in gimp or photoshop correct? 2nd I kept thinking that the hdri seemed to offer a smoother looking shadow. I don't know if its realistic or just my impression that I like it. I haven't tried yet but can you do sky visual with hdri only lighting and sun off. If so do most people feel it looks more realistic with sun or hdri. Other than that does it look realistic enough to sell based off in your opinion?

Podias subir tu modelo? asi podriamos jugar con la iluminacion y poder darte mejores consejos. Saludos

Aqui esta mi version

Jorge ¿cuáles son sus opciones para la iluminación y el fondo se añadió después de el render o antes?

Really nice.

I propose an idea that is often used by many designers to make designnya look great, live and realistic

Ie, using Photoshop and PSD files that can be found on google. Then, Touchup...

Ok which do you guys thinks looks better and more realistic of the following 2?

Number two looks less "cartoonish".  But it also doesn't show "realistic" surface textures.

Are you talking about the glow option in the material editor or object properties? If so then no. Otherwise I'm not aware of where the option is for self-illumination. Only light source I know I have is the sun and the hdri background

CAN WE GET PETER MILNER TO TRAIN SOME OF US FOR A TOKEN ?

Good day, forum members,I was thinking that we could each, if interested, contribute a significant token to give Peter Milner and David to train us virtually in nxt render for Autocad. Am not sure he still uses it but the experience he has spanning over 20 years cannot be underestimated. I wish the forum co-ordinators could look into this. So that more of us will produce realistic renders with the paid version of nxt render and we will be able to encourage other users of other more advanced…See More

3D_Replication final

I created this replication of one of Peter Milner's renders, not with AI but with sketchup (with the matchnewphoto tool), autocad and nxtrender.Critics and comments are welcome.
