After downloading nXt I am unable to load the ARX file. I have tried both appload and dragging the arx from explorer to AutoCAD screen. Using Windows 7 64 bit with AutoCAD Architecture 2008. The plant and material editor applications seem to work fine. I have tried both the latest version and the latest stable version. Installation seemed to go fine without any errors. Any ideas?
Do you have 64 bit or 32 bit AutoCAD? (With 2008 it's actually possible to run the 32 bit version on a 64 bit OS.)
If you're unsure run Task Manager and AutoCAD-- look on the Processes Tab and see if a *32 appears next to acad.exe. If it does, you've got 32 bit AutoCAD and you must load 32 bit nXt-- if not you've got 64 bit AutoCAD and you must load 64 bit nXt.
Just keep in mind that running this way you will be limited to 3GB of address space. In other words, you won't benefit from the 64 bit environment with its ability to handle very large data sets. You may with to consider upgrading AutoCAD at some point.
Gentlemen,The last file I used to load, was ArAcad_24_64.arx, and, unfortunately, it doesn't work with Acad 2025.Any idea how to get the proper nXt-App which suits Acad 2025?Any help appreciated...Regards, Maciej MarkowskiSee More

Am not sure he still uses it but the experience he has spanning over 20 years cannot be underestimated. I wish the forum co-ordinators could look into this. So that more of us will produce realistic renders with the paid version of nxt render and we will be able to encourage other users of other more advanced…See More
