i'm currently rendering another view of the room and decreased the facet size of the displacement map. Looks better but renders sloooooow...

Your work on autocad meshes is a great interest and so hard... I know it. And if you find a solution to the "displacement lines", tell us...

it doesn't take long to find all my little mistakes here ;-) About the armrest: you're right. I work on it.  But for the moment  i'm messing with meshes in autocad, so, no filleting. Great tool to make things look realistic (sofa, curtains) but very time-consuming and frustrating. And yes, the use of reflections has to be very subtle. E.g. some shiny floors here sometimes look like mirrors. never seen that in real life.

Nice image Jan, nice materials. The problem you talk about, with displacement, I meet often the same (grass material in my case). One thing, the armrest in first plan need a little "fillet" to put a space between it and the seat. I appreciate the work on the dosage of the reflections.

@Carlos. I'm still struggling with the Arroway textures, especially wooden floors. Couldn't find the right oak floor also. I'm rendering the other side of the room for the moment and there's a wooden wall made with Arroway texture. Looks promising.

Thanks. Floor is texture map with bump and reflection. I think there's no need for displacement in this case. The carpet uses a displacement map. Same texture set to high contrast for displacement. I'm not completely satisfied with the carpet because it looks to structured (lines). The key in rendering for me is the use of materials and how to fine-tune them. Except for the walls, ceiling and glass everything here uses a texture map. On the other hand, as i see your work, you don't have much left to learn, so this information must be redundant to you.

Good image! Congratulations!

Note.- In the right side of the picture, the tile pattern texture seems to be a little repetitive, while the rest of the floor is perfect.  I would use Arroway hq textures.

Muy buen trabajo. Me encanto la textura de los pisos y el tapete. Como los lograste? Saludos

Questions for nxt render for autocad

Good day everyone,Can anyone here help me with these issues i keep having with nxt render for autocad ?1. How do you bring in textured models into autocad ( 3ds and obj) without losing their textures or having to re-assign them.2. How do you move these objects from place to place without experiencing viewport refresh sluggishness in the autocad viewport ?3. How do you add dirt to fabric textures for rendering.4. How do you avoid repeat patterns in textures for rendering ?See More

Render 1 copy (1)

This is a remake of one of Peter Milner's scenes. I dont have the file. I photo-matched it in sketchup and rendered in nxt render for autocad.I just retouched it and increased the resolution.
