Is there a way I can look up an error log?

So we ran a rendering for what ended up being 150 hours and came across a massive glitch or bug, I'm not sure what happened at all. It was a single task 1500 pass rendering so it shouldn't have taken…Continue

"The trick to just change the DPI in PhotoShop is to uncheck Resample Image.  Then the number of pixels in the image remains the same. This is explained here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/image-size-resolution.html"

Rich Hart replied to Andrew Uno's discussion Help: Need to increase the DPI of nXtRenderings
"Right. You can use a program like PhotoShop to specify that the DPI is 300. That doesn't change the number of pixels in the image, but simply changes the size that it prints to. You would want to use the same program that your art department…"

"I may have found the disconnect, are you saying that I have to take that image then go into lets say photoshop and image size it down to an 8.5"x11" 300 dpi, in post to generate the 300 dpi image? The art department and I had words about…"

Rich Hart replied to Andrew Uno's discussion Help: Need to increase the DPI of nXtRenderings
"During the first 30 days of the trial period, you can render to any pixel size that you want. So, by setting the paper size to 8.5 x 11.00, you will get a rendering of 2550 x 3300 pixels at 300 DPI, as shown below: After the 30 day trial period,…"

Help: Need to increase the DPI of nXtRenderings

Currently we are running the free version and I am unable to change the DPI of the renderings created above 96. I need to be able to produce images of 300 DPI for publication. Is the present limitation due to the program in its free version state or am I failing to properly understand the render settings?See More

Looking for feedback/advice on renderings.

I have posted images to my profile with openness for any constructive criticism that may be provided to add to photo realism. The company I work for deals with commercial renovation and interior design so we work almost entirely with interiors and in my opinion interiors tend to be rather unforgiving in the realm of photo realism. Any advice will be appreciated.See More

"Thanks for getting back to me Roy, what would you suggest I do to address this problem? Would something as simple as reinstalling nXt Farmer be a simple solution or should I just be aware that this can happen?"

Roy Hirshkowitz replied to Andrew Uno's discussion nXt Farmer Status: Not responding
"Sorry Andrew-- just getting back to things.  The nodes are almost certainly crashing.  The current Render Farm, as we discussed, is not very sophisticated.  If a node crashes it gets fired up again and attempts to latch the next task.…"

nXt Farmer Status: Not responding

I'm trying to identify a problem that has arisen as of late for me. The machines utilizing nXt Render Farm are not rendering though their individual statuses say active and they have projects assigned to them. At first I didn't think anything was going on but 2 days later low and be hold the tasks they were assigned were not done. I sat there and watched for a bit and noticed that in farm manager the machines would task would blink out for a moment then return. I then pulled up Windows Task…See More

Roy Hirshkowitz replied to Andrew Uno's discussion Is there a way I can look up an error log?
"Logging probably wouldn't help here (even if it existed).  This is the sort of situation where the software likely will not realize it has a problem-- but just go on crunching merrily away.   You can pursue this the normal way, start…"
