Ocean Blend

Am trying to blend in my water with the background ocean with much success even after turning off the sky giving off the blue colour. Any pointers?

Try to give more transparency to water material. Have you tried to save the material image with image editor? I don't know if you can then select only water with PS. In any case, PS is THE solution!!

My know how of PS is very limited, but like you said more transparency is what I will keep on adding to the water till I hit pay dirty. Thanks.

so, other option could be to render without water material (but keeping it on alpha channel so it receives shadows) and in PS you just have to clean a little the foot of the pillars.
