AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Found accidentally - nice tree generator, producing some useful tree stuff.

Tree[d] free tree editor

Obj files produced can be imported into Blender3D for material assignment and then exported as described in tutorial for IVY. In nXt just assign the appropriate bitmap for leaves and tree trunk in material editor.

Hi george! Are these trees light to the nXt renderer? Do we have to use them by a third part software, 3D max, maya, etc?

Marc, as you can see, the small tree on the screen shot translates into some 100K+ faces. It is obvious that 3d models of trees, shrubs and ivies consist of relatively large number of faces. Even nXt trees when translated for rendering are producing large number of faces. So it is clearly matter of choice, if you need to use "fixed" trees done outside AutoCAD (this method results in huge drawing files, you need to generate several tree models to avoid repetition patterns) or to use nXt trees (very light DWG after insertion, random shape for each inserted plant...). I think that only in special cases it would be better to use fixed trees rather than nXt ones. For me, only Ivy is great imported as ready 3D geometry and model. nXt unfortunately hasn't any equivalent (and so nicely merging into existing model geometry) method yet. And finally yes, they can be used in other packages you mentioned without any problem.

Questions for nxt render for autocad

Good day everyone,Can anyone here help me with these issues i keep having with nxt render for autocad ?1. How do you bring in textured models into autocad ( 3ds and obj) without losing their textures or having to re-assign them.2. How do you move these objects from place to place without experiencing viewport refresh sluggishness in the autocad viewport ?3. How do you add dirt to fabric textures for rendering.4. How do you avoid repeat patterns in textures for rendering ?See More

Render 1 copy (1)

This is a remake of one of Peter Milner's scenes. I dont have the file. I photo-matched it in sketchup and rendered in nxt render for autocad.I just retouched it and increased the resolution.
