advanced rendering for AutoCAD
HI Guys
The pipework is generated using an external package. The majority of the pipework renders in nxt, but there are a few pipe spools that disappear. I have had a look at their properties and they appear to be the same. However the pipes do render using the AutoCAD standard render. Your help would be greatly appreciated
Kind regards
David

We have had issues with a pipe package before-- what's the name of the package?
Looks like something to do with layers. Not sure what's up exactly, and I can't find anything wrong with the props in AutoCAD. If you change the layer of the objects that aren't displayed it does work. I (or Rich) can look into this a little more.
Hi Roy
I am using CADPIPE the latest version.
Thanks-- I took a quick look at this. We had some special code in to handle AutoPlant (they were doing something incorrectly) but nothing for CADPIPE. At the moment, until we get a chance to investigate further, all I can offer is changing the layer of the invisible components. I'll probably need Rich to look into this since it's probably related to a later version of AutoCAD.
I'll take a look.
I see that if I change the layer name as you say, the pipes start rendering.
It turns out hat the problem is the # sign in the layer names for those missing pipes and fittings is causing those layers to be skipped when we get the set of items in the drawing for rendering.
if I remove the # signs form the layer names, everything renders OK.
Are those layer names generated by your pipe package, or is it a naming scheme of your own?
HI Rich
Thank you for resolving this. The hash sign is a notation from the customers piping specification.
I will remove it from the layer name.
