AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Good evening, I am new to the forum and is the first time I post something. I am italian and my English is poor, so I apologize in advance for the errors and slow responses. I just bought nxt for use with AutoCAD 2009 and have found some problems, probably due to my incompetence ..
1) by inserting a material with a texture on the model, it is deformed, apparently depending on the focal length of the view. Change the scale of the texture seems to have little effect. How can I fix it? I enclose rendering to clarify; the effect can be seen by enlarging the intermediate masonry piers, near the elevator. It is also visible on the grid, but I think about them is inevitable and it is still less annoying..
2) in the list of file formats for saving images, the format .Ntx images does not appear. I seek it in the wrong command?
3) How can I put people in images and pictures? I have not found information in the guide.
I thank you a lot for attention, see you soon.

Texture scaling in nXt is defined in physical units and are not related to the view.  There's something up with the intermediate piers-- probably an attached mapping that's messing things up (perhaps an AutoCAD mapping).  If you can't figure out how to get rid of it (hint-- try the AutoCAD _MATERIALMAP command), send me the drawing via Support->Upload a File and I'll take a quick look.

If you pause the rendering you should get the option of saving in nXtImage format.  This option is not present while a rendering is in progress.

For "cutout" people, a lot of folks use RPC by Archvision.  You have to pay for these by subscription, but they do have AutoCAD plugins that work nicely with nXt.  You can also create your own cutouts-- most people use the decal interface for this.  I can help if you want to proceed in this manor.  Some 3d people are available out there, and some popular formats like .3ds or .obj can be imported directly into nXt by using the Texture Mesh Object in the Widgets menu.

Thank you very much Roy, I have solved all the problems .. like you said, the problem in the texture was related to the mapping of the material in autocad .. is enough to straighten it on the model with the special gizmo and it went all right. for saving to .nti format, that is what you suggested .. the problem was that I would not put in pause renderer. In the coming days or, if able, in the next few hours I'll try to add some character to animate the drawing a little bit .. I was thinking of using the widget as you suggested, but if you could even make me or show me a quick guide of how to use the decals , I would be really grateful. Thanks again and greetings.

Easiest way to do your own cutout using decals:

  1. Use a texture with alpha channel for your decal.
  2. Apply the decal to an object using the procedure here
  3. Check the Transparent checkbox in the Masking section.
  4. Check Double-Sided in the Advanced section.

You can add people in Photoshop as well or if you want an Architectural Style, you can use cutout Regions/Meshes of people.
