AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

I am working on the new reference manual, but I don't always know what to call things.

What should I call these four sections of the Control Panel?

File:NXtRender Control Panel.jpg

e.g. The Lighting XXX, The Materials XXX...

The Lighting one has several tabs.

Lights, Background, etc. - so I am calling those "Tabs"

But I don't know what to call the 4 main sections - which expand and contract.

Burrow from AutoCad, Tabs, Pages, Elements etc

Another will be to start naming from down the tree (from collapsing all tools/tab) and working your way up, that way nothing is left out.

I want to use AutoCAD's nomenclatures.

A. What do they call that thing on the left where nXt Appears

B. What do they call thoses things that expand and contract?

C. I would like to call the third leve - (Lights, Backgrounds, Advanced Tab...) Tabs

In AutoCAD the nXt's pane is called palette. The Lighting; Materials; Render Settings and Object properties you can call simply Main Tabs and those in Lighting Main Tab just a Tabs.

In order to avoid confusion, the icons on top buttons

Lighting, Materials, Rendering Settings and Object Properties Tabs

While Pages apply to sub tabs like Sky, Lights, Backgrounds and Advance.

DropDown Buttons for the likes of Engine, Sun, Sky etc

And these,

List of Options for the likes of Passes, Depth Of Field, More Settings etc

Controls Settings for Use Plants, Use materials, Use Objects Colors that relates to More Settings.

Control Settings for Strength and Focal Distance that relates to Depth Of Field.

Control Settings for Viewport, Pixel, Print that relates to Passes and so on.

My Understanding is the terms you are looking for is "Palette" and "Collapsable Pane".

A. Palette

B. Pane (or Collapsable Pane)

C. Tabs

Hope that helps...
