You can start here with asphalt and here with some nice pavements. Other than that, you can try just to google some others, there are really a loads of them free (like this one. )

Sorry for the late reply, don't have access to the net during the weekends, but thanks for the compliments and advice. As for the textures, any suggestions as to where I can get 'em?

Very nice rendering!

Try to put the whole building in the frame.

Find some nice free asphalt texture for the roads and apply it.

Sidewalks need some nice material too.

It is greatly improved compared to first picture. I love it!

"nXtRender doesn't use the AO texture image settings for anything, so don't bother trying to use that. I would start use the Diffuse textures at 100% and experiment with the levels of the Specular Reflection. You might need to toggle the…"
