well done, nice! especially i like your details - the "dirt"

More or less you just described exactly the way of my workflow. Renderings I do are in most of cases just a bait for the customer - it works well almost every time ;) and of course an eye-candy for me the 3D visualization lover :D

Amen too, brother :)

George, all my efforts to be "more realistic than Reality" were predominately for "us" - architects and Visualisers, as you well pointed. I agree - 90% of my client are absolutely unconscious about the details like shadow, sun match, leaking walls, perspective match, depth of field, etc., etc.

The only thing (besides money, of course) they see is that everything seems to be as it is now. With possibly minimal efforts, of cours. Ratio "Efforts-Win" is still not very impressive - see Mikes' sophisticated details and struggle to get the client.

My "visualisations" is not the point of my work - the point is Building Regs phase drawing, and, desirably, supervision. And one of steps to achieve this aim is to produce realistic visualisation.

Amen.   :)

Uff, that was quiet a lot of philosophy of architect and practice owner in business..

Impressive perspective match Maciej. If I were you I would try to "fake" some tree shadows on rendered building (I suppose it's the one with red windows casement) in GIMP, though it could not be exact result as if some invisible trees cast shadows on it during rendering.

I believe it is clearly your (and maybe ours, the architects and visualizers) effort to reach perfection and photo-realism and have some tree shadows there, but I am quite sure nearly none of my (or your) clients will ever notice this absence.

I can see some painted shadows as it continues from the existing building's wall to "new" wall and I would be quite happy with that :) It matches the current sun position of the real photo, so it's hardly distinguishable.

The perfect combination of real and virtual, very good, I ask you that how to set up the white glass, thank you.

Kevin - unfortunately, it didn't work, I am afraid...

I see why you wanted the tree shadow now.
