I used the standard engine.  I don't remember how many passes, it was a while ago.  But it was not more than 50 passes.  I usually get good results under 50 passes.

I did not add any bump to the stone, just got lazy and did not try.  This courtyard is part of an event center for parties, weddings, etc.  They wanted to keep the outdoor feel, but wanted something extra for show appeal.  This was my solution.

Super fantastic rendering and place! I can almost hear fantastic Latin music rhythms and smell of barbequed steaks! The problem is they forgot to place the roof and tiles :D

Seriously now: I would expect darker shadows (more contrast between shadow and light) judging from very clear and bright blue sky. And Akin is right, add some bump (or even better, displacement if you have enough time for rendering).

Love this, in my humble opinion a little bit more of  bump on the stone works would have made quite an impression . What engine, how many passes?
