AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Missing textures in renderings (but they are visible elsewhere)

Hi to all

1. I've got material with texture
2. I can see it in WalkAbout window, also in ACAD in realistic view style
3. I've also tried make new material,  with new texture, and it works fine, I can see it everywere.

So everything seems to be OK until I'm trying to do rendering.

There is no texture (see attached file).
(when AEC objects are exploded to blocks and primitives, the texture is displayed on render)

Any idea?

My platform:
ACAD Architecture 2015
Nxt 1.0.354

Sorry about my english. I use google translator.

Is this an AEC material or an nXt material?

nXt material with texture, I only use nxt material editor.
Formely I was used nxt version 0321 on AUTOCAD Architecture 2009, and it works, maybe there were some changes that I didn't notice.

Hard to say what's happening without seeing the material and model.  If you can re-create the material and get it to work with the new one I would use it and assume something is wrong with the old material.  If it's happening with multiple materials I'll need to take a closer look at the model and materials.

I made an example drawing (attatched) with simple materials with embedded texture, aec objects.

I was able to fairly easily use Style Manager to assign the material.

To do this, I created a new Material Definition in Style Manager (called Textured), checked the Style Override box under its Display Props, and used your Textured nXt Material as the Render Material. I then assigned this Material Def. to the Standard Wall style.

Assigning by layer tends not to work for AEC components-- this is the recommended procedure and is outlined here in the section entitled Assigning Materials to ACA Components.

Ok. It works. I was used to a simple procedure "drag & drop" that worked on AEC objects (and their internal layers) at ACAD Architecture 2009.

It's good time to change habits.

Thanks for help.

OBJ Plant Issue - Diffuse Maps

Hi to anyone;maybe a similar issue as Mr.Holz announced recently, (PBR Texture question):-added a obj. plant via 'Textured Mesh Objects' widget-reassigned maps (materials showed up, but with no maps attached, (although mtl. files are  in the same folder as corresponding maps and obj files)-tried to render (see 'result')So my question is: Does anybody knew about how to handle Diffuse Maps in nXt, i suspect there is no interpretation of the UV-Coordinates?Any hints and help kindly appreciated!…See More

"Thanks for your kind words. Yes, all plants are generated with nxt plant-editor. I have used leaves from Marc Chaumier's plant library. (Download/ Content + Entourage)"
