how can I get a floor plan view of my accurender rendering?

I would recommend a perspective view looking down from above.  If you must, you can use an orthographic 3d view, but perspectives generally work better.

 

Either exclude blocking objects from the view using AutoCAD-- for example, by freezing layers-- or use clipping planes.  Below are two threads which discuss clipping planes-- the second one has a plan-like rendering:

I've found if you use the acad dview and adjust the lens length (zoom) to minimize the perspective effect, then save the view. Set that view to current in ACAD and Open the walkabout window in Nxt and set that to the current Acad view. If you set up a ACAD clipping plane just below ceiling level I believe it will still pick up the interior lighting correct as well.

"The wooden texture of the TV-Console looks quite decent. The Wallpaper on the left has an interesting structure, maybe it would look even better, if you make the texture seamless + applying a little bit of depth, e. g. with highpass - filter in PS?"

3ds +obj import works for older files-'xfrog-plants', for instance... .Comments + Critics appreciated!Hopefully accurender still survives!

"Found 'Textured Mesh Support' only works with obj and 3ds Files which do not contain PBR Maps. To 'obj' converted newer 3ds do not render in nXt :-("
