AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

This is a test.
For the next statement this User, in an effort to get something to show up in the new AccuRender nXt AR5 forum, is conduction this test. This is only a test.
*Beep*
This concluded this test of posting to the AccuRender nXt AR5 forum. If this had been a real post then there would have been something worthwhile to discuss. If this does not work then the silly thing does not work for me.

Edit:

I appears I can start a new discussion (new post) but I can not reply to an existing discussion thread. The message is "Your response did not match the words. Please try again." - much like some others have reported on the old AR5 forum.

If it is something on the side of office security then there is little I can do as that is not something they change or adjust on a User-by-User basis. It could be a Browser issue, but I doubt that seeing as most everything else appears to work and it is a fully updated IE.

We have added the additional two site addresses to the whitelist here - so far no change. I will restart computer after a late lunch since I am currently rendering. Maybe that will reset things at that time.
These have now been added to the whitelist & the entire system as well as my computer re-booted. Although I think the issue is with what is & isn't getting throught the firewall/internet filters here I'm not sure what else to add to the white list to make it work. Suggestions?
Wayne -

In your case, you are not getting the CSS style sheets. Do you have a second browser you can try? Chrome? Firefox? There are setting in browsers that can block style sheets.
I logged in using firefox & I get pretty much the same stuff, still no style information. I think the only difference is how each browser shows missing icons , etc. Buttons & links appear correctly but the background, formatting etc. is still missing.

This does guide me to believe that the issue is with the server based internet filters or firewalls & not the individual browser filters.

Any other thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

thanks
Test the REPLY again as it failed on my third attempt yesterday.
Very odd reactions from the site on my end - again, it appears that the way our office is set up that all things Accurender "just" work. But only just.
A REPLY to a previous post weirdly ended up at the bottom of the thread and I was not able to EDIT the post like I could yesterday even though I still was well inside the post edit time limit. (I had refreshed the browser so the time estimate as still true) - Basically nothing happens.

In all, I am not having a very good go of it here... Not as bad as Wayne, but still only about 50% functionality.
Here is another test of the REPLY - it may or may not work.
It appears that my IE or the way the Office hardware interprets the site is just not working consistently.
For a while my previous post was in a DIFFERENT FONT, that was odd.
After about 3 or 4 refreshes of the browser pane the text then changed to match the others.

I do not have the option to view the site with a different browser from the office and at home I do not have Accurender nor is my computer powerful enough to warrant it.

They have us on Windows XP Professional Ver 2002, SP3 on a Dual core AMD 3800+, viewing on IE Ver 8 - build no. 8.0.6001.18702. It is all very odd.
Well - things I can do:

1) Post a NEW DISCUSSION
2) Post a NEW REPLY

Things I can NOT do:
1) Post a REPLY to a REPLY or to a Post (nested reply)
2) EDIT a post
3) Close or Expand a REPLY string using the 'x'
4) Use the Bold, Italic, Underline, Strikethrough, etc. buttons until I type a minimum of 5 lines of text - they only appear on my screen with the TEXT EDIT BOX is forced to word wrap vertically and thus graphically update itself.
5) Sometimes the "SAVE" or "POST", etc. button does not give me a pick cursor at all when I rollover so I can not actually "click" it. This is random however.

So - for the time being my ability to contribute will be limited to one-direction lengthy posts with possible typos and/or spelling errors... great.
AWESOME news, we spent some time yesterday on the phone with the developers of our web filtering software, they had overides to kick out sites with forums and domains that hosted porn. We had tried each of these at our end but apparently they had redundancy here. This moring when I logged in it worked like it was supposed to.

Thanks so much for your time & patience on this!
Third day and trying to see what I get this time...
It will be interesting to see. Glad to hear that Wayne's world is doing better.
My fingers are tired from crossing them so much.
OK - I think I have figured out how and why things have been odd here, well mostly.
Only from attempting the same thing at different times have I come to feel that there is a bit of a delay between what I type, what I see on screen and what functions I can do.
It looks like if I wait for a while I can post, reply, etc. like you would expect.
However, if I try and do some forum function "too fast" then my browser gets confused.

As you can see - this is the first time I have been able to post a reply to a reply (nested) since the site went up on-line.
I now can edit a post if I wait about 60-120 seconds for it to register through the interface. Then I can hover over the text and have it highlight.

It does appear that I am now closer to 90% functionality on the forum. Yeah! Whatever you are doing - keep doing it.
