AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Please, we are working now on a project, where we need to put some palms, tropical shrubs with flowers etc. - all in all, hotel resort in Egypt. As we work mostly in Middle European climate, we do not have such plants.

Would be somebody willing to share his/hers? Such help would be very appreciated...

It might be good if such plants were at accustudio... I remember Marc did post some of his plants earlier...

Attached, there is couple of our groundcovers

In the AR4 plant library, there are a lot of tropical plants, in 3D, which work in nXt. But you can't see them before render. You can make a dwg where you put all the sorts of palm and render several images, so you can refer to these pictures to choose the tree or shrub you need.
I keep AR4 loaded so I can use the thumbnail preview of the plants. I remember someone years ago did a rendering of each plant in an Excel file with a description. I'll look and see if I can find that.
That Excel file would be really helpful, hope you will find it...
I looked here at work with no luck. Will check at home tonight. I'm sure I got it from the old ar3 newsgroup. I'll see if I can't find the old search link I had

This is really annoying. Is there no work around for this because it involves so much trial and error to get a scene looking good when you basically have no idea where any of the plants are until you commit to rendering. Alternatively is there no large library of nXt plants available online yet? I would be happy to buy them even I just need access to a nice big library (specifically of tropical plants)

The file may be too big for ning-- I'm guessing there's a 2MB limit on attachments.  It's also possible, though less likely, that it does not like .rar.  Ros., try uploading the file instead.  I'll put it somewhere accessible.
thanks, file uploaded - size must have been the problem, it is slightly over 2MB
The file is now available on our Plant Libraries page.

Subi un archivo Winzip con unas palmeras....pero no lo veo...sera el problema el tammaño Roy?

Could be-- use the upload link above.
Tengo unas plameras qeu puedo compartir. Sin embargo es muy grande el archivo y no pude subirlas. Te las puedo mandar por email.
