AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Mostly more work on e4.  There were some reports of trace instability with the previous build.  Let me know if this build seems stable.

I think so.

a question to build 305: is self-illuminating included?

Adding caustics converges pretty quickly also. This is only 2 mins on my very old Socket 775 computer.

Something you can't tell easily by the picture that you can see while it's rendering is the caustic effects at the 2 o'clock position on the wall (further out than the bright spot).

e4 or e1?

Looks great.  Like I said, I'm considering making Reflective Caustics an option-- so you'd need to turn them on to get this result.  These are a source of a lot of noise for the majority of renderings.  Definitely worth it for this one.

I think I found the method to repeat the crash in my models.

I switch to e4, save the file & close. Open the file and try rendering in e1 and it will crash 100% of the time. If I open the file and switch to e4, it will render without crashing.

Once the file is saved after changing to e4, I can never render it in e1 again without it crashing.

Tried it with the fc drawing you sent.  Works fine here-- no crash.  If you have time, try documenting your procedure exactly in case I'm doing something slightly different.

The attached file will no longer render with e1 (305) as it will crash on my machine 100% of the time. If I switch to e4, it renders just fine.

If I install 304, it will render in e1. Then I can go back to 305 and it will render in e1.

Found it-- thanks (sneaky little thing.)  I'll update soon.

Good news. Will the update fix the files that won't render?

Yep.

Marco-- use the Support->Upload option to upload a large file to me.

OBJ Plant Issue - Diffuse Maps

Hi to anyone;maybe a similar issue as Mr.Holz announced recently, (PBR Texture question):-added a obj. plant via 'Textured Mesh Objects' widget-reassigned maps (materials showed up, but with no maps attached, (although mtl. files are  in the same folder as corresponding maps and obj files)-tried to render (see 'result')So my question is: Does anybody knew about how to handle Diffuse Maps in nXt, i suspect there is no interpretation of the UV-Coordinates?Any hints and help kindly appreciated!…See More

"Thanks for your kind words. Yes, all plants are generated with nxt plant-editor. I have used leaves from Marc Chaumier's plant library. (Download/ Content + Entourage)"
