AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Hi Roy,

I'm testing engine 4. It seems to be the fastest of all Path Tracers, the quality is also the best (for me). But there's still the problem of the white spots appearing on the image, coming from light sources, I suppose.

I'm attaching the raw render after 4156 passes (47 h), general quality is very good, but white spots are still visible. There's over 500 light sources in the scene (similating the real light fixtures) and I suppose I should wait longer to get perfect image, but sometimes it's just imposible.

So - is it possible to develope engine 4 (or some others) to fix this problem, or maybe you can give me some hints, how to avoid the white spots in the renders?

Alex

Impressive.  Any chance I could get a hold of this model?

Hard to say, without looking at it more closely, what's up with the noise.  It could easily be due to the large number of light sources.  e4 is inherently more likely to produce this type of noise (some of the paths which are now included are noisier)-- but it may be possible to do better.

Use Support->Upload a File if you're willing.

Wow, you modeled this in AutoCad?

Thanks for good word. A lot of work in AutoCAD, but the most difficult parts were modeled (and designed) in Rhino & Grasshoper. I could render it in Rhino + Vray, but I still prefer Accurender :)

Roy,

the white spots are not the problem of this model only - I'm fighting them all the time in all engines (inluding Product Tracer - sample attached). They seem to be the rest of the initial noice and there's much less of them when I avoid white color in the materials... I wonder if you could give me some other hints also...

I'm affraid I cannot upload the model of the Concert Hall - it's against my company rules :(

But I will send you the final renders if you want.

We'd love to see the finals submitted to the Gallery.  This type of scene, with its combination of numerous small bright lights and glossy surfaces, is going to give all physically-based rendering engines fits.  There is some hope of improving the situation with e4-- but I'll certainly need some good test models (which I currently don't have.)  See if the company is willing to make an exception in this case-- or willing to part with another similar model.

OBJ Plant Issue - Diffuse Maps

Hi to anyone;maybe a similar issue as Mr.Holz announced recently, (PBR Texture question):-added a obj. plant via 'Textured Mesh Objects' widget-reassigned maps (materials showed up, but with no maps attached, (although mtl. files are  in the same folder as corresponding maps and obj files)-tried to render (see 'result')So my question is: Does anybody knew about how to handle Diffuse Maps in nXt, i suspect there is no interpretation of the UV-Coordinates?Any hints and help kindly appreciated!…See More

"Thanks for your kind words. Yes, all plants are generated with nxt plant-editor. I have used leaves from Marc Chaumier's plant library. (Download/ Content + Entourage)"
