AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Have found that ACAD/nXt locks up when editing decals.

Sequence:

1. Select object with existing decal.

2. Right click on decal name under nXt Object Properties and select "Edit Position and Location"

3. Type "3", "M", "S" or "R" without first clicking a point within the ACAD window.

4. Experience frustration and the "oh yea" don't do that feeling.

Worked OK here.  Can you try with a very simple drawing?
I did and it did...Give me a sec and I'll send. Using ver 271.

Still no problem-- selected the face and followed the procedure above choosing the "3" option.

What's the dispositon of your nXt palette-- e.g. docked, floating, anchored?

Are other palettes open as well?

Within ACAD, I have the nXt window on my second monitor. It's open and docked (?-it kinda jumps to the upper screen edge). This would be easier with a screen shot...attached.

This isn't a big deal...I just need to remember the correct sequence. Maybe I could try with a different image for the decal...

Thanks,

John

Interesting-- I still can't reproduce it.  I tried with the props palette open and the nXt palette floating out of the AutoCAD window.  Still nothing.  It may be related to the dual monitor setup.  I doubt if the image has anything to do with it.
Thanks for the look-see. I'll let you know if I figure it out...John
I haven't noticed any issues with decals of late (I run dual monitor both in the office and at home).
Must be something local on my end...I'll need to run more tests.

CAN WE GET PETER MILNER TO TRAIN SOME OF US FOR A TOKEN ?

Good day, forum members,I was thinking that we could each, if interested, contribute a significant token to give Peter Milner and David to train us virtually in nxt render for Autocad. Am not sure he still uses it but the experience he has spanning over 20 years cannot be underestimated. I wish the forum co-ordinators could look into this. So that more of us will produce realistic renders with the paid version of nxt render and we will be able to encourage other users of other more advanced…See More

3D_Replication final

I created this replication of one of Peter Milner's renders, not with AI but with sketchup (with the matchnewphoto tool), autocad and nxtrender.Critics and comments are welcome.
