AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Has anyone noticed when you engage the path tracer that it desaturates the colors of the plants?  I have seen this with the new NXT created or old Ar3and Ar4 landscaping.  With the old plants the path tracer seems to almost shrink the leaves giving you a bunch of wilted stems.

I'm I doing something wrong with my settings?

The first image is the path tracer off, the second is with it on.   The third image has old vines from ar3 hanging down or whats left of them with the path on.

Different issues-- the Path Tracer does calculate some additional paths of light so, for example, if the leaves have some glossiness that may show up in a way that the old engine doesn't calculate. Interreflection and translucency are also handled better in the Path Tracer. It may change the appearance of certain objects and materials.

Not sure what's up with the ar3/4 vines. It's certainly possible these aren't working correctly.  I can test a few out here next week.

long shot from here, but still: Material Editor IMHO definitely needs to have an option to use other lighting than the default rnl_probe: if leaves are too glossy and sky is too blue, I need to have a chance to tune it prior rendering... If I had an option to use the lighting scheme I have in my model, I would be able to tune the saturation properly...
