AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

I have a WinXP64 on which the farm will not start. Any suggestions? I've tried both the 32 and 64 bit with no luck.

When I start the Farm, it shows in the Processes tab for a second then goes away.

I forgot to add that the Farm Monitor does work on that computer, but not the Farm.

It's likely an older machine without sse2-- nXt won't run on these.  If you can figure out the processor let me know.

It's a Core2 Duo E8500. The Farm works fine on some of the E8400's in the office.

Not the sse problem then-- something else.  Is the farm licensed?

SOLVED: Okay, I figured out how to license the farm without running the actual Farm. Once licensed, it opened right up and went straight to work!

Yes and no. I do have a license, but the Farm won't start so I can't enter the key.

Here's what worked for me.

(only issue with win7-64bit for me)

Right click, nxtfarm icon and use "run as administator" at start up.

Then go to bottom toolbar and find icon and right click use restore

It runs then. It then pops up in the monitor.

Farm monitor with only run on NXT rendering computer not the slaves.

Not sure if this is how it is?

Ian

The farm shouldn't have to run as admin.  The Monitor should be able to run on any machine.

When licensing nodes you need to shut down the other (running) nodes first.  This is required because if an unlicensed node detects two other nodes running it refuses to start.  This is likely what Garret ran into.  The procedure for licensing nodes is outlined here.

"For compatibility with AutoCAD 2026 you would need to purchase a license upgrade for nXtRender (AccuRender).  As an AR5 license holder you are eligible for a discount which we can give to you if you contact us at support@renderplus.com."
