advanced rendering for AutoCAD
I've an old release of accurender 4 and autocad 2007, how can I upgrade my program? I am useing a 64-bit processor.
You can renew you license for use with the latest version, nXtRender.
nXtRender will work with 32-bit AutoCAD 2007 on a 64-bit processor.
If you have problems getting nXtRender to appear in AutoCAD 2007, follow these instructions.:
Normally nXtRender registers its commands with AutoCAD during installation. On occasion, this mechanism may fail. In this case you will need to manually load nXtRender the first time you run it in a particular version of AutoCAD. Use the following procedure:
1. Type _appload at the command line.
2. Navigate to the folder where nXtRender was installed. This is normally C:\Program Files\AccuRender nXt.
3. Select one of the following files depending on your platform:
4. Press Load
Check the AutoCAD command line to verify that the application loaded without error. At this point you should be able to type nxt or ar5 to launch the application. You should not have to repeat this procedure again for this version of AutoCAD. Simply typing nxt or ar5 at the command prompt should cause nXtRender to load. You may need to repeat this procedure if you install another version of AutoCAD.

I tried but now I have another type of problem.. it's impossible to appload any .arx I think could depends from the message that I read every time I lunch Acad "fail to get commcontr controller"... so I will try to resolve this before installing nxt
If you have more problems, place them here on the forum, and some other users may be able to help.
Nope-- there is no 64-bit AutoCAD 2007. The user will need to install and load the 32-bit version.
Thanks Roy,
I'll change that line is the first post to "nXtRender will work with 32-bit AutoCAD 2007 on a 64-bit processor".
