there are no reflections in glass, no clouds on the stone... so no HDRI?

inside it is totally dark, even while sun hit (almost) directly in. ivy is not reflecting, nor the leaves are slightly translucent.

well, nothing you could not achieve using nXt :D

background pic have wrong sun. the trees should be in shadow as i can see in the columns in front, and they have some slightly wrong mapping.

anyway some nice pic

Thank you Jelena - really useful comments. I'll see what could be done with most of them. It was not done in Accurender because the model was done in Blender (small house, easy geometry, I made it there for exercise reasons). And was rendered using Cycles which I still learn to use and am discovering new things. I use nXt from time to time, not much work for it lately though, unfortunately :( I'll try to pass the model to AutoCAD using .obj textured mesh to see also if the material assignment and UV mapping will be retained.

What do you mean saying "no cloud on the stone"?

instead of a sun, you should use a HDRI for lightning - or use the HDRI in reflection slot of your environment. this will bring you reflections on the glass and clouds on the stone ;)

i wonder if roy (nxt) can do what vray does in 3dmax(vray hair and fur) you can assign it to rugs coushins

bed spread etc....it should ny be difficult all the settings are standard, also the lightings to get that diffused look is very hard in NXT.

CAN WE GET PETER MILNER TO TRAIN SOME OF US FOR A TOKEN ?

Good day, forum members,I was thinking that we could each, if interested, contribute a significant token to give Peter Milner and David to train us virtually in nxt render for Autocad. Am not sure he still uses it but the experience he has spanning over 20 years cannot be underestimated. I wish the forum co-ordinators could look into this. So that more of us will produce realistic renders with the paid version of nxt render and we will be able to encourage other users of other more advanced…See More
