AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

I ran a bunch of batch images on Render Farm. They created NXT images. what is the best step or way to preserver the original image as a TIFF or JPG. every way i do it, the alpha channel doesn't look like the image in the IMage viewer, it either separates out the backdrop or is extremely pixilated or the edges are not anti-aliased....

if i run the same bach of images and output as a JPG they are perfect.... look just like the NXT image... but i can't take the nxt images to save as a clean jpg.

No clue what you're talking about.  Provide some examples.

Figured it out!.  Alpha chanel was being saved out. As a JPG the anti-alaise on the edges was off, but as a TIFF it was fine.

"My question was more basic than that. I don't actually know how to create and use alpha channels. So in AR Studio, how do I achieve this result using a decal?"

"If you mean, "how would a conversion program work?", the answer is any way we like.  We could run an automatic conversion on all the legacy decals in the model and replace color with alpha masking.  We could also create an…"

"I think the model should load automatically. If you try to import a material before loading the model, you get an unhandled exception:"

"Yes, it's just a bit of a pain with all the legacy data I'm working with - thousands of CAD blocks that have decals with colour masking."
