AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Can anyone guide me to me to the appropriate what resolution.

I am trying to produce some rendered images for an A3 booklet at 300dpi

I am trying to ascertain what is an appropriate level to set my renders to get the optimum image quality for the output, obviously the longer the better in most cases, but its all against the clock in my case. So need to get a good understanding of what quality of image the various render settings produce.

Regards

Glenn

I would say the final resolution depends on the printer you are going to use - AFAIK there are two things:
DPI (how many physical dots of CMYK basic colors is a printer able to put into an inch) and LPI (how many dots of primary colors a printer needs to create any color (most printers achieve truecolor range by mixing dots of various primary colors). LPI usually ranges from 80-150
In other words, if your printer was capable of creating an individual dot in any truecolor, you would need to create an image of 3500x5000 pixels to use its abilities fully. But, as printers usually do need more individual dots to create truecolor, it is enough to mak it smaller. 2300x3300 pixels should be more than enough...
