AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Hi Roy, I am working in this model, in this case I have two images, the first one with sun and hdr, in the second one I add a light bulb on the lamp, the object tagged as an omnidirectional light is a extruded rectangle, the inmediately the strange circular black shadow appear.  I  also try with another view, same results.

Bizarre-- you may need to send the model.
File already uploaded. I reproduce the problem same effect another view
Hi Roy. Do you find something?

Regards,

Alejandro
Haven't looked yet.

I'm looking at this now-- I'm missing the background images (these do not embed with the drawing) so it's a little hard to evaluate at the moment.  It looks like there's a separate reflective bg image.

Could you zip both of these and send via the upload link?

Did you intend to make the ceiling translucent?  It's one of the things contributing to the horrible performance of this little model.  It may be contributing to the weird reflection or shadow you got-- I don't know-- I haven't gotten that far.  This drawing also has a custom reflected background which is another possible culprit.

Just for fun I let the Path Tracer have at this for a few hours.  I converted your bitmap to an hdri-- had to scale its channel way down (0.03).  I took the translucent stuff off of the ceiling.

Thanks,  I really d´ont understand what happen with the ceiling, I assigned a solid white,  maybe I make a mess, I will take a look  to the original material (it comes from ar3)

I am checking the cool matte material and I d´ont find any translucent, or there is something I am missing about materials?

The drawing you sent me has no ByObject material on the ceiling.  The ceiling is drawn on layer 0-- layer 0 is assigned the same translucent material (cortina translucida) that surrounds the light fixture.

Something to do with the visible background, because I remove the visible background and put the background in the walkabout window and the problem dissapear, I make some changes in the model I will try to reproduce this.

Thanks Roy, then I mess up everything at some point.I am sorry

CAN WE GET PETER MILNER TO TRAIN SOME OF US FOR A TOKEN ?

Good day, forum members,I was thinking that we could each, if interested, contribute a significant token to give Peter Milner and David to train us virtually in nxt render for Autocad. Am not sure he still uses it but the experience he has spanning over 20 years cannot be underestimated. I wish the forum co-ordinators could look into this. So that more of us will produce realistic renders with the paid version of nxt render and we will be able to encourage other users of other more advanced…See More
