advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Accurender nXt seems to be causing an error with Autocad 2013 & 2014.
The error message is:
Errors found in references to other objects:
** AcDbZombieObject objects cannot be referenced.
This occurs when I try to refedit external references that have previously rendered with nXt.
If Nxt is running, there is no error, and refedit proceeds as normal. Without nXt active, the drawings are not accessible.
Is there a fix for this?

Not that I'm aware of. I'll make a note to look into this, but it may be a while. Can you open the xref drawings without nXt?

Yes the drawings behave normally when accessed & edited directly. Irrespective of the state of nXt.
The problem only surfaces when attempting to edit the drawings from within a master xref drawing, using the Refedit command.
