AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

I inadvertently introduced a bug in 248-- an excessive number of bright spots ("firefly artifacts") can appear when using the Path Tracer.

Roy - Just curious, as of this Build (no. 249)... What would be your recommendation for the optimum build that balances stability with recent new functionality? Using the "most recent stable build" tends to lag behind the more interesting and appealing program "improvements".

In fact, at this moment, I am still back on build 237!

I would love to play around with the newer adjustments and add my voice to the other "testers" regardless of any inadvertent introduced bugs so long as it does not completely wreck my installation of AR5 nXt.

Side Note: I still have Build 26 from 10/10/2007 in our archive - It is amazing to think we've been "playing" with this thing that long.

Your call.  In general, the new ones have been pretty darn stable.  I wouldn't install one on a production box if you're approaching a deadline.  If you're nervous about the newest stuff you can let it age for a week or so before installing.  We've got enough people banging on the thing, including me, that new problems usually surface by then.

So that more of us will produce realistic renders with the paid version of nxt render and we will be able to encourage other users of other more advanced…See More
