nXt Plant Issue

Hi, Roy, I start here a new thread, that was sooner in the Kevin's OT thumbnails.

I've re-installed nXt (226), uninstalled & re-installed xnview (full, with shell).

At the end, I can see the thumbnails of nXt plants, only in a folder where I made my own plants, sometime ago (until 224, nXt or windows explorer).

In the folders "nxt Plants" (Large, Medium, Small..., MorrisAP) no thumbnails, only icones.

When I open the Plants Editor, with a sample, make a render, save and close, nXt crash (only in plant editor, not in acad opened in the same time):

Nevertheless I did the render and save, the thumbnail is not visible, when I open the folder by nXt, or windows explorer.

Other thing, when I open a MorrisaP plant, I get this message: "no disk, insert disk in \Device\Harddisk\DR7". I type "Continue" 3 or 4 times, and the Plants Editor, open the file...

Have you an idea of what I can do? Thanks.

I don't know... Only HDR thumbs don't work, as usual ;o( Is there any solution for that? I tried many things, even with shell solutions that I found in nXt old discussion.

I'll write one when I get around to it. In the meantime look around for one. What you're looking for is a 64-bit shell extension that does hdr and exr previews.

Meanwhile convert all your HDRi's to jpeg, still keeping the originals mind you. That way in windows you can perview them.

Try Sage Thumbs it worked for me on 32 bit and there is a 64 bit version.

Oops just noticed thumbnail fix in build 227

Like Magic thumbnails of HDRi preview in Windows Explorer 32 bit after installing Sage Thumbs did not even have to shut down and reboot.

Richcat, you're GREAT!!! For the first time in my life, I can see HDR thumbs on my WIN7 64 bits. Thanks. For those who have a 64 bit, I upload the file

Marc-- I edited this. Let's leave the Sage thumbnail viewer as a link to their website instead of directly sharng the setup file. This will avoid any copyright violations and will allow the software maker to better control their product.
