AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Hi. I need to do a material that is necessary to apply this kind of map. Is possible to do this as in the AutoCAD's render?

Thanks. Lord Jesus bless you!

Easiest way is to use the material type called Texture Set when you create the material.  Select New Material and Texture Set from the dropdown.  Load your map.

If the map doesn't say Opacity right after the picture, for example if it says Color-- right click on the map and select Opacity.

I don't forget this option when I right clicked on the map.
I don't understand what you mean?  You can respond in Portuguese if it's easier.
Thank's.

Use the Texture Set option when you first create the material.  This template has the Opacity map option. After that you can switch to the Advanced editor.  This is the easy way.

The hard way is to do it all in the Advanced Editor:

  • Set the IOR to 1.0 on the Transparency Page
  • On the Maps Channel Page--Uncheck Color
  • Check Transparency and Transparency Color
  • Check Invert Channels.
OK Roy, thank You Very Much! End of topic!
Why "Transparency color" is so often checked? I believed it was for materials like coloured glass ( stained glass). But I see that you use it for metal with opacity map, and a lot of materials which don't use transparency, have this fonction checked.
It's required in nXt if you want the map to behave exactly like AutoCAD's own opacity maps-- these tend toward a neutral color (white) as the transparency is increased-- and the object's color as the transparency is decreased.

CAN WE GET PETER MILNER TO TRAIN SOME OF US FOR A TOKEN ?

Good day, forum members,I was thinking that we could each, if interested, contribute a significant token to give Peter Milner and David to train us virtually in nxt render for Autocad. Am not sure he still uses it but the experience he has spanning over 20 years cannot be underestimated. I wish the forum co-ordinators could look into this. So that more of us will produce realistic renders with the paid version of nxt render and we will be able to encourage other users of other more advanced…See More
