AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Hi all,

when I render panoramatic image, save it as nXtImage - it is impossible to save proper material or distance channel mask from it. Exported images/masks are completely white (material channel) or black (distance channel) - see attachments. Tested on more panoramas. Is it a bug or are these functions disabled in panoramatic renderings?

I'm pretty sure it should work so it sounds like a bug.  I'll look into it-- tomorrow probably.
I finally got around to testing this.  So far it appears to be working fine here.  Can you send the original .nXtImage file?  Attach here or use the upload link.  If you have a chance you might also test with a simpler model to see if the problem is model specific.
File was sent...let me know what was the problem. Thanks in advance
Thanks-- I've got it and it's scheduled for this morning.
The .nXtImage file you sent definitely does not have anything in the Distance or Material channels-- I have no idea why.  Can you try re-rendering just a pass or two and saving it out again?  It will be obvious if there's something in the buffer when you open the .nXtImage.  As you move your cursor around the image you'll see the Distance and Material values change on the status bar.  If it's repeatable I may need to look at the drawing (or another repeatable drawing.)
So I rerendered same scene (new build 261) with no success. Then I tried some small scene (renders in attachment) with the same result: material and distance channels are not working (alpha works ok). Also when I move cursor in ImageEditor, no distance or material values appears. Simply I cannot produce panoramatic rendering with material or distance info at all...ACA 2010, Win 7 64bit

I'll need a model and materials to try to reproduce it here.  Whatever was in the attachment didn't work (too large?)  Use the upload link.  Include any instructions.
File uploaded. Dwg + renderings. But the problem with panoramatical (only them) renderings missing material and distance channel happens in every model I have tried. When I switch to perspective projection, everything works just fine...
Understood.  The problem is that when I render my test cases here they work fine.  I need to understand what you're doing differently in order to reproduce the problem.  I usually can't fix things until I can make them happen here.  I'll probably be able to look at this tomorrow.

Everything worked fine with your test drawing.  You could try sending the textures as well so we're working with exactly the same thing-- otherwise I have no idea what's going on.  Do make sure that you're using 261 to write the files (check the About box in nXt)

It is odd that everything works fine when you try it. I have tried it on several machines (Win 2000 32bit, ACA 2010, nXt 261 32 bit and Win 7 64 bit, ACA 2010, nXt 261 64 bit) with no succes. When switched to perspective projection, everything is ok. Will try with build 263
