Convert Legacy AR Material Library

I have notices inconsistency with conversion of the widget. I done this conversion a long time ago when the widget was introduced. Yesterday I notices that some of the materials where not well converted. So I did again.

 

1. The conversions where in, My Document Folder instead where the *.mlib is.
2. So files where not well converted.
3. On doing it again the result was different from the first conversion.
4. Am talking about Digital Entourage that came with the AR4 cd.
5. Installed it before the conversion as you earlier advise so that Nxt will get the necessary information from the registry. 
6. What is wrong?

What do you mean by "not well converted".  Are you missing texture maps?

Yes texture files are missing.

 

Some like the brick-boral-739 modif was not well converted at all.

If some of the materials are finding their textures and some aren't it's unlikey to be a search path problem.  The most likely explanation is that some of the old textures are .tga, which is no longer supported.

I did the conversion twice and on both occasion the results where different.

 

The images I believe are in the ProgramData/Accurender/Images Folder. I did a search and there are no *.tga files there.

There isn't much I can do from here.  Open one of the materials with missing textures in ar4 and see if you can locate the map.

I was afraid it might come to that. Have to dig up My old AutoCad 2007 dvd as it would not work with AutoCad 2011.

I wouldn't bother.  Just make your own materials.
