advanced rendering for AutoCAD
Hi everybody,
last night I've set up the farm to start rendering at 19.45 pm in order to let it works all night, but while the CPU usage was at 100%, the state of machines was not active, the job was "suspended" and no output images were produced.
So this morning I manually suspended the job and started it again. It seems that the farm does not recognize other settings than immediate starting.
Other thing, when I quit the farm monitor and the farmer, nxt64.exe process is still in the process list and still occupy almost 100% of CPU.
Am I wrong with something? Thanks

Manual suspension and restart definitely works, I use it all the time. Haven't tested the timed restart in a while (I will), but I'm pretty sure it's working. Something went wrong in your case-- the active nXt64.exe process is a clue.
Thanks Roy. Actually, when I set the time and click start, the job goes to the farm and appear as suspended, but doesn't start at the established time (and: which time is considered? the server time where render farm folder is stored, machine1 time, machine2 time?). I've restarted all PCs, opened render farmer on all of them, run the farm for a while and suspended it (CPU usage always at 100%!!), then closed farm monitor and farmer but CPU usage still fixed at maximum.
It won't suspend a currently running task, that will keep going until completion. You may just have long tasks. Suspending a job or a machine will prevent that machine from grabbing the next task.
Each machine's local time is considered. They'll need to be synched for this to work properly.
I see. That's why the processor works like crazy even if I suspend a machine!
Thanks Roy
I just checked the render farm delayed start. It appears to be working but the Farm Monitor is not properly marking the job as Active.
So I have to suppose that the job eventually started.... noooo! Right, one more missed day! (job was two 4000px panoramas). Thanks Roy for trying.
