advanced rendering for AutoCAD
Thought I had the hang of this - apparently not. Can't get the brick materials mapped correctly on the 45 degree wall - the short ones are OK. I've used the widget, quick mapping and reset. I've even remade the objects.
They bricks do appear to be the right size now (4"h x 12"l), but they aren;t aligning vertivally with the adjacent walls.
The long soldier course headers are off as well.
Can someone please save the morning?
The file size is too large (27 MB) to post, even after I stripped it down to just the essentials. Where can I sent it?
Thanks - John

Attach a picture here.
You can upload the model to me under the Support menu-- or you can use a service like dropbox to make it available to other folks. I may not be able to look at it for a few days.
Thanks Roy. Image attached.
PLEASE, if anyone can help today, I would be forever grateful.
I've made the drawing available through our FTP site.

Image was a print screen via ACAD realistic - not very good.
nXt rendered image attached. Lower soldiers look OK when rendered - the upper ones are off.
It's the vertical coursing (or scale?) of the rowlocks, both colors, that's off.

Yes indeed! I tried and tried with quick mapping. Do you qm them all at the same time? What origin point did you use? What lower right and upper left? Thanks Roy.

Working better now - just the inside of the jambs are rotated...? The windows and doors don't go all the way to the edge, so some brick will be exposed and shouild be oriented correctly.
To get the jambs "correct" with one mapping I think you'll need to create a box map using the xy plane for your pick points (the sides of the box should wrap correctly then, I think.) You can also use different mappings for each side of a solid by using AutoCAD sub-object selection (works better in 2012.) Alternatively you can draw a few faces for the jambs and displace them a couple of mm's from the other surface.
