AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Hi All

Problem: In Walkabout I set a photo of a building site (elevation) using Background tab "Background image". Then try to use the controls in walkabout to match the view of my model.

Motion walkthrough - moves target location - using arrows and pageup/page/down.

So you get in/out left/right tiltup/tiltdown.

Motion Flyover - moves camera location - using arrows and pageup/page/down.

So you get in/out left/right tiltup/tiltdown.

So I play around with the view until it looks right. so it's perspective fit's the photo.

But here and problem - the model is not in the right location on background photo.

say it needs to go in the left hand corner.........................

Is there a way to move the view without changing it - up/down left/right to slot into the photo.

So what I'm asking is there controls to move the camera's target location and camera location at the same time???

any ideas?

Hi Ian. Camera match is one of the great issue which lacks a little bit in nXt. First of all, the camera should have the same focal lenght of the photo (generally, if the photo was taken with a digital camera, you can see the focal lenght in the properties of the jpeg file). Then, if the model is articulated or heavy, you could construct a very simple solid on a separeted layer, so that you can manage the walkabout views quite faster. If you need to move the camera location and target at the same time, the only method is going back to Acad and moving the camera directly.

Panning moves the both the target and camera points.  I believe you pan with the right mouse button.  I don't think there is a keyboard shortcut for this.

Roy that little tip is gold mate, pure gold, ..................................

Big thanks

(Keyboard shortcut would be cool say Ctrl+arrows would be a great addition to the walkthough)

"For compatibility with AutoCAD 2026 you would need to purchase a license upgrade for nXtRender (AccuRender).  As an AR5 license holder you are eligible for a discount which we can give to you if you contact us at support@renderplus.com."

CAN WE GET PETER MILNER TO TRAIN SOME OF US FOR A TOKEN ?

Good day, forum members,I was thinking that we could each, if interested, contribute a significant token to give Peter Milner and David to train us virtually in nxt render for Autocad. Am not sure he still uses it but the experience he has spanning over 20 years cannot be underestimated. I wish the forum co-ordinators could look into this. So that more of us will produce realistic renders with the paid version of nxt render and we will be able to encourage other users of other more advanced…See More
