advanced rendering for AutoCAD
I have a file that I rendered IN ACA 2014, using an older version of NXT, not sure how to tell which build I used. I then got a computer upgrade and tried to run a rendering of the same file using ACA 2014 and a newly purchased version of NXT, not sure which version on this one either. The rendering rendered correctly on my old machine, but on the new machine the ACA walls, doors and windows are all grey. I tried to attach my cad file and rendering images but I exceeded the 5mb limit so I will have to see if I can reduce the file sizes enough to get them posted. Otherwise does anyone have any ideas what is going on?
FYI, I am running ACA 2014, I purchased the latest version of NXT on April 2, 2014 and am running which ever build was available that day. The original rendering was created using an older version of NXT. (Not sure how to tell which build version I have or had previously).
The new computer is a Boxx 4150 Extreme:
Intel i7 4.3 Ghz
16gb ddr3-1600
NVIDIA Quadro K2000 2GB

i keep trying to upload the smaller files but i keep getting an error. Are there any other options for uploading files?
The problem appears to be in the Display Configuration. i created a display configuration for "Rendering" or "Accurender" which used to work well. the materials now render correctly in the out of the box "Work" display configuration but not the custom "Accurender" display configuration. The custom "accurender" display configuration works on ealier versions of accurender as well as NXT. I am now comparing the "Work" and "Accurender" display configurations looking for the settings that are different. I will post my findings in case someone runs into this issue.
If you use a custom display configuration for rendering, go to the display manager, in the left window click on the plus button to expand your custom display config, and click on "model". On the right hand side of the window select the "Display Representation Control" tab. Scroll through the list and find "Material Definition" uncheck the default box and check the box for General.
So I can't quite tell if you've solved this or not. In any case, there is an upload link under support above which should allow you to upload large files. Zip them first. ACA configuration files have been problematic in the past.
