Disabling Shadows

Hello all

 

Attached is a simple 3 Layered Diagram Subject.

 

It has simple materials assigned except the middle mesh layer which is an Texture with a an Alpha Channel set to transparent.

 

I would like to disable any shadows generated by any of the 3 Layers, especially the mesh onto the lower layer.

 

I have already tagged all 3 Layers in Object Properties as Thin/Dont Shadow/Dont Receive but Im still getting shadows.

 

Any ideas?

Either that or you can save the image as an nXt file and then export a materials mask. That way, everything assigned your special material can be selected in one go.

I've got a few renderings cooking up in the farm I'll definitely try the material mask.

A bunch of these are older switches and only work with the Standard Engine....
