How do you specify the material origin on an object?

In AR4, you could specify the material origin on a face and/or object through the object properties.  I have searched through the online documentation and the forum and have not been able to find a result that works for my situation.

Where can I find settings to adjust the material origin on an object?  Often, I need to set the origin on multiple objects, and the suggestion of setting the object to 0,0,0 will only work for one of the objects in the scene.

There are two mapping buttons on the Materials tab toolbar designed for this. The Quick Mapping is the easiest to use and would probably work best for your application.
Select the object then hit the button at the top of the materials pane (the two on the right pertain to material mapping).

you can use AutoCAD commands to manage mapping. You can even preview your settings using "Realistic" Visual Style in AutoCAD
Yes but the autocad mapping tool bring you, by the hand, in hell. For example, how do you set a specific angle for a mapping rotation? And sometimes, the gizmo go to hell alone, and you can't find it no more, without a reset... I dream of a cool tool in nXt, that will forget this acad abomination!
I agree 100%.
I've also found in AutoCAD that if you use planar mapping on a surface and subsequently rotate the surface, the mapping doesn't rotate with it unless it's contained within a block.
Yes Peter, and when you make a block, with correct mapping and do a symetric copy of it... sometimes, you come in ésotéric domain where the rationality has any place more... ,o))
It doesn't always match up.
Thank you for the direction. The office just updated to AutoCAD 2011, and now I need to update the rendering softwaere.
does acad 2011 bring ameliorations in zoom tools and mapping tools? Or is this release one more vain cosmetic consumers trap?
