AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

The Render Farm has four identical nodes. All four have been tested with Cinebench and Passmark with pretty much identical results, as you would expect.

However, when running an nXt render, one of the nodes is consistently 20% slower than the other three.

Can you think of anything else that may affect the rendering speed specific to nXt and the Render Farm?

One of my four kittens is lazier than the other three, though they are all gray. ;)(Sorry Peter)

Interesting-- if you're convinced your render farm test is valid (it can be a little difficult to set up a valid test) the most likely suspect is some software that's running-- what we sometimes call a "clock thief".  nXt threads run in a lower priority, so anything else that's running will go first.  I would compare the Process list you get back from Task Manager on this machine to another machine and see if there are any differences.

Beyond that, there are certain machine settings that might affect things.  Check the power settings, sometimes processor usage is restricted to 95% or so.  This might not show up on a less heavily multi-threaded benchmark.

Thanks Roy, I'll check all that.

Questions for nxt render for autocad

Good day everyone,Can anyone here help me with these issues i keep having with nxt render for autocad ?1. How do you bring in textured models into autocad ( 3ds and obj) without losing their textures or having to re-assign them.2. How do you move these objects from place to place without experiencing viewport refresh sluggishness in the autocad viewport ?3. How do you add dirt to fabric textures for rendering.4. How do you avoid repeat patterns in textures for rendering ?See More

This is a remake of one of Peter Milner's scenes. I dont have the file. I photo-matched it in sketchup and rendered in nxt render for autocad.I just retouched it and increased the resolution.
