AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Interior rendering of fireplace. No post process, just playing with light channels and adding some glare in nXt image editor.
It took 10 hours in this resolution (600X400 pixels!!!). After more than 650 passes there is still a lot of noise in dark areas of the room. I like the result a lot, but the time needed is discouragingly long (and practically unusable on my current hardware).

Jorge, I was talking about adding glare in nXt image editor. It is in FX tab.

Mike, my AMD Phenom 4 core with 8GB ram (1666MHz) compared to my son's 6 core machine is just ~20% slower. I think the only way to speed things up is to involve GPUs somehow into rendering process, working with CPU side by side.

i  recently got AMD 6 core 8mb memory  it will run half the time

Me gusta la imagen George. coincido con tigo lo unico desalentador del nxt, es el tiempo de proceso. Hablas de adicion de reflejos en el editor de imagenes de nxt, como es eso? podrias explicarme un poco?

Sure guys, but remember, every render and scenario varies. Sometimes the original renderer takes ages to do one pass while the pathtracer does 20-30. The Packet Tracer image will go above the Path Tracer in the Pshop Layers. Then you use a soft erase brush to erase off parts of the packet tracer which are not required.

Similar observation on Exterior Rendered plants in Packet vs Path Tracer. Path Tracer generally gives the best render but the plants seem to get unsaturated and dark. Again, a few passes on Packet Tracer to get some nice green colours and do the Photoshop overlay trick! :)

Clever tip Birdman. I'll definitely try it on this render to see how the two will blend together.

@Sampodoria nice trick, which one goes on which, path tracer on top or packet tracer on top. All these tricks would no a lot, alot of good if folks could document them and in the, "help and and tutorial" section or at accustudio like Daniel did the advance texture with it first feature on Nxt.

Nice work George. What I usually do *after* running the pathtracer for some time is re-render the image with the original renderer. I then overlay the images and erase out the very grainy parts. I only do this if its a picky client.

No-- increasing the indirect bounces won't make a difference to the Path Tracer.  The Path Tracer currently uses a minimum of 4 bounces.

Increasing indirect bounces to 2 would help the dark spaces but I believe more work for NXt. try running on different machines and combining with the IE.

I like it! Maybe too much glare, and I would de-power the lights on the wall
