AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Some minor tuning, material - wise changes, different composition, literally no post process except sign insertion. Customer's request for A2 print. No payment for that :( :( :(

George.....how long it took you for the render??

On my humble computer with AMD Phenom II X6 1055T processor it took about veeeeeery looooooong 26 hours! (resolution 3840*2160 = 4XFullHD) I did it also in Blender Cycles using GPU for rendering acceleration. It took about 1/4 of the time (5.5 hours) to achieve similar quality, but finally I'd choose nXt render, as it achieved better (more subtle) soft shadowing to my eyes (and monitor). I think that kind of illumination of the scene is possible in Cycles too, but I had no more time to fiddle many of its parameters. On fast i7 processors or on multi CPU machines like Peter's rendering cluster nXt is a good option I think. For single (and simple) machines there are several good and capable competitors though ;)

the days of long rendering are gone.....i dont render at all in nxt anymore.....

people nowdays wants it yesterday..:) lumion for fast realistic image....render time for each image i produce is.......10-15 seconds.....no joke

see all images in link below done in lumion

Great work Mike. I know there are many programs working really fast. Thea render for instance has the option of biased render (BSD algorithm) which is fast as hell. Surely not 15 seconds (in what resolution Mike, super-high one or just for monitor presentation?) , but at least 10-20 times faster than other unbiased modes (ML, bidirectional path etc.) And the result is still very (and I mean really) acceptable and appealing. For you speed is surely no. 1 priority, as you have huge amount of renderings to complete and deadlines are of some time paradox :D For me, even the nXt super-slow pace can be tolerated as rendering isn't (unfortunately) my primary business.

res are

1280x 720  2 second render

1920 x 1080 10 - 15 second

3840x2160 - 20 -30 second

no joke

Got any reason not to believe you Mike :D Impressive in any aspect.

3d max vray people pissed off because of lumion speed in rendering...

LOL

nXt for Autocad €500
Lumion full €3000

Also u are working inside AutoCAD (no need to translate 3D model or even do the model AGAIN in other software in order to render it), u are able to make changes "on the fly" and render them again ....

Pros and cons on both sides.

i know...the price is little steep....but

you can import,autocad,3d max,microstation,revit.sketchup,objects,3ds files,archiecad....

What kind of machine do you use?

Me or Mike? ;)

Mike for him to be logging such incredible rendering rates...

CAN WE GET PETER MILNER TO TRAIN SOME OF US FOR A TOKEN ?

Good day, forum members,I was thinking that we could each, if interested, contribute a significant token to give Peter Milner and David to train us virtually in nxt render for Autocad. Am not sure he still uses it but the experience he has spanning over 20 years cannot be underestimated. I wish the forum co-ordinators could look into this. So that more of us will produce realistic renders with the paid version of nxt render and we will be able to encourage other users of other more advanced…See More
