AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

I'm not sure if I've changed something without knowing it, but my rendering window that used to be hi-res has gone low res and small in the bottom left of the rendering screen. I havent changed any output size dimensions. This was from a blank truckpack drawing. The first rendering jpg I did yesterday, all good. The 2nd one was a test render I did just now with the very same file and no settings changed that I'm aware of.

Any thoughts on this please?  Acad 2016 and ARNXT64_355-PA18 versions.

Many thanks

Diz

OK I think I stumbled on the answer. I saw a post from March a few posts down from mine with a similar issue. My 30 day license on this machine was in 'demo' mode I hadn't transferred the license from my old dead machine to this new one. I clicked on the 'replace old computer' button at the bottom of the nXt license dialog box and followed the prompts and I was back in action.

It would be great if a dialog box could pop up to tell us what was happening there as I was fiddling about with all sorts of settings trying to 'fix' it.

Many thanks

I agree. We need a message whenever anyone is in low resd Emo mode.

I had just finished finding your records and noticing that you had just authorized your license when you posted your second message

Well thanks for checking there for me. Yeah something along the lines of...

"Your 30 trial period has expired please register this version. All renderings will be limited to xx by xx until your license is registered"  And then maybe click a button to take you to the license diag box?

I was getting a bit antzy being as it was the weekend and I need to bash out some renderings too.

Many thanks though

Diz

OBJ Plant Issue - Diffuse Maps

Hi to anyone;maybe a similar issue as Mr.Holz announced recently, (PBR Texture question):-added a obj. plant via 'Textured Mesh Objects' widget-reassigned maps (materials showed up, but with no maps attached, (although mtl. files are  in the same folder as corresponding maps and obj files)-tried to render (see 'result')So my question is: Does anybody knew about how to handle Diffuse Maps in nXt, i suspect there is no interpretation of the UV-Coordinates?Any hints and help kindly appreciated!…See More

"Thanks for your kind words. Yes, all plants are generated with nxt plant-editor. I have used leaves from Marc Chaumier's plant library. (Download/ Content + Entourage)"

"nXtRender doesn't use the AO texture image settings for anything, so don't bother trying to use that. I would start use the Diffuse textures at 100% and experiment with the levels of the Specular Reflection. You might need to toggle the…"
